94 VG30E Tranny??

Hello all, my tranny went in my 94 maxima GXE automatic a couple of months and and I'm thinking about buying a reman transmission, I was wondering if anyone has a write up on pulling and installing the tranny or could share they're experiences on it. Is this something I could pull up easy or is it going to be a bi##$ ?

factory service manual has a pretty good removal install.
I used a similar one to pull a 97 altima auto (using altima fsm)
it would be in the AT section.

Remanufactured AT's have been hit or miss for me. I suppose it depends on who's doing the rebuilding.

Thanks a lot guys!!

I have the Tranny out of the car, I'm waiting on the rebuilt one to show up from Phoenix Hard Parts but I will admit I'm kind of nervous after reading some of the reviews online. Have any of you guys dealt with them?

I bought a couple of trans from Phoenix, never for a Nissan but one for a dodge van and a Honda. No problems with them at all. Pay by credit card so if you have a problem you can have them dispute it for you. Oh yea , make sure when you send your old core back keep the paper work from the shipper to prove it was sent back. That way they cant stick you with the core charge by saying they never got it

also make sure before you send in your old trans that your new one is installed first. There may be some exterior parts that may have to be interchanged that don't come on the rebuilt one
