I have a nice leather Momo shift ****. I love the feel of it, as does everyone who drives it.

 

Does that screw right on to our shifters?

 

I have an AE ****, but it's a little scratched and I'm kicking myself for not getting a 300zx ****/STS.

Decent, the shift pattern font doesn't really match the rest of the car though.

I picked up this Momo one, but I need to fix it.

 

 

The Momo ***** are universal fit, right? So you have to tighten with an allen wrench? Can you get it tight enough to really feel secure?

 

Yes there are 3 allen key screws that tighten it down. You can crank on them prettty hard, ive had mine come loose a few times, but i figure its due to the vibrations and the alumium shifter on my STS. I think ill throw some lock-tite on them.

When i had it on my stock shifter i never had any problems with it coming loose!

 

My shifter **** done the same thing many times, then i tried the fix below. works fine now

Try a round of electrical tape on the top part of the shifter shaft, then install the **** over the tape, the tape will minimize vibrations, and will hold the shifter screws in place.

Be sure to only go one round(single layer) on the tape, or the shifter may not fit over the tape.

 

AE shift ****, cut stock shifter on OEM boot.....

na, its a 'press on' type. it took a minute to figure out a way but i got it to work, no movement or play (wiggle) in the **** either.

 

Got it from ebay, they call it JDM Drift Black Shift **** made out of Teflon. It comes threaded. Anyway, it's a standard shift ****, nothing too fancy, but I like it.

I kind of like it with the wooden trim, that a short shifter or did you just cut it?

Don't have a picture in the car right now, but the **** is a Team Voodoo ****. It goes well with my black leather on brushed aluminum trim interior.

 

I concur. Used that method before and the Loctite helps too.

Momo race air leather (half leather/half aluminum) Don't know if they make them anymore, but it looks cool.

 

Bished up AE **** & B&M **** that came with my short shifter. I switch them often

 

mine is stock.. i really like how the 6 speed **** looks.. but mine is scratched, and i'd like to get a new one though
