4 point harness and racing seats.

i was looking at the 4 point harnesses from NRG Innovations and how would those hook up to the car. They are on www.matrixracing.com. I would like to buy some 4 point harnesses and probably next month get some nice racing seats. My buddy's sentra has 4 point and they are connected in the back were the seat bolts to the floor; is this safe or do you have to buy a bar to attach the belts to. I would like to buy the harnesses this month or sometime soon because i like the confort of the 4 point but i want the setup to be safe. So what is some good seat belts that would be recomended to buy and tell me how the would connect. And post pics of your guys set ups on seats and belts please.

Oh boy.
If you want to be safe, you need a roll bar to protect you in case of a rollover - this involves time and money, trust me.
You will need a racing seat before you buy the harness because you cant mount a harness properly with the stock maxima seat.
As far as I know, it is safe to mount the harness to where the rear seatbelts are normally connected - I believe Irish has a similar setup, but I could be wrong.
Connecting the harness to the floor just sounds plain weird to me... I havent seen this done before, iirc.

So you're getting them purely for looks?

Not exactly for looks. i like the confort of the seat beats of the secure feeling and mostly not sliding all over the seat. they do not bother me. i just think they look more sporty to. it gives that racing look. I do not want the roll cage because that is to much. I want some nice sparco 4 point ready racing seats 4 point racing seats. i am wanting to how you guys have the seats and belts set up.

You can beat other cars without racing or using the Maxima's power dangerously. We have alot more features, options and abilities that some companies haven't even thought of yet. Speed isn't everything.

So you riced out your car so you can prove that your car is better than a vtec (never even heard of that car)? Also, correct me if I am wrong, but you are saying that maximas are fast cars, and any car with vtec is slower? And hate to burst your bubble, but I wouldn't call those "racing seats" - not nearly enough lateral support.

RNMMax: Unless you are planning on taking your car to the track a lot, harnesses are pretty useless... pretty cool, but not worth the money.

OP: Like I said before, if you are really concerned with safety when getting a harness, then you need a roll bar. Judge your chances of a rollover and decide for yourself. Good luck and post pics once you're done!

do you even know what v-tec is and/or what a Honda v-tec engine does? IMO sqeezing that many horses out of a 4 cy is very impressive. FYI you drive a v-6 so dont get all exited.

V-tech?

240hp for a 4 cylinder (the F2{0,2}C Honda) is nothing, just look at an Offenhauser motor...2.65l 4 banger, 770bhp@9k RPM.

There was a maxima in the fast and furious, actually...
And dont hate on Hondas - they are great cars if done up properly and dominate at autocross.

The one that'd run 9's? ...yea.

They can be setup nicely, sadly ~98% of them are riced out and ruin the name for the 2% that are very nicely done. I'm talking the 10sec all motor hatches, the cars that rule at autocross and road racing, etc.
