P0136, will any 4 wire o2 sensor do?

Its my dream to see maxima without a code, these days I am seeing a P0136 which is rear O2 sensor.

I saw bunch of 4 wire sensors on ebay but none for 1995 maxima. I am wondering if there is any difference in generic O2 sensor for 95 model vs 4 wire O2 sensor for say 1997 or other models (even other makes).

Any way I have to splice the wire and reuse connector.
Can anyone please share their opinion if I can take any 4 wire sensor or it has to be maxima specific.

Thanks

Good question. BUmp

I am not sure theoretically speaking as long as they have the same resistance value and work off the same reference voltage the answer is yes. how do you find this out is a better question. and I dont know that one.

There's a four wire. Simple slice and use weather sealing connectors instead of what comes with it (same stuff used to do wiring on boats). I'll probably get flamed for saying to use something that's not Nissan OEM, but $20 compared to $100+ is just silly.

And there is a three wire. Which one you use is dependant on whether it is pre-cat or post-cat from what I understand. Haven't had to change mine yet, so I'm not sure which is front or rear bank.

EDIT: I just read the auctions on ebay. The front bank are three wires and the rears are four wires.
