Working on GroupDeal for Light Flywheel

I want to see if you guys would be interested in Light Flywheels from Fidanza for a groupdeal of $400. All I know is that they have the 1999 and 2000 Flywheel. I would think that it would be safe to say that it includes 4th and 5th Gen, but I'm having them double check the exact years. You guys might know if they are the same Flywheels. I haven't call the dealer I'm they would know too.
Anyways let me know, but that will be the price.

What are the specs on this new flywheel? Weight? Including secondary ring gear?

Hi,
I was wondering if you have a
flywheel for a 97 Nissan Maxima. I think a
number of people would be interested at $350. So
far the only manufactuers are Unorthodox Racing, Mueller, and
Stillen (rebadged).

thanks,

I found this guy on Groupbuycenter.com and had over 50 participants with Hondas and Toyotas, so I thought of emailing him about one for the Maxima. He said he needs 10 people. If anyone wants to contact him and set this up:

i have a fidanza for my 3000GT VR4 and its a real nice piece. much better than spending the $900+ for the UR flywheel.

now the reason i checked this thread......what does a stock 2000 flywheel weigh? my moms car seems to rev much quicker than my TT VR4 or my girlfriends NA stealth (222 hp also)

Well, there are probably other factors too

but the stock flywheel should weigh in at 20 lbs or so if I remember correctly. Apparently the stock flywheel is a two piece design thereby limiting the efforts to just shave weight off of it. The primary piece of the flywheel, the part that you'd replace, weighs about 18.5 pounds. All this info thanks to Eric Wong.

correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think 1.5 lbs is going to make a big difference in rev? Maybe a little but not very noticeable. Just doesn't seem worth $350

Cheaper just to get it shaved.

Correcting the wrong

I don't think I was very clear with my above post. The stock flywheel comes in two pieces. One of the pieces is irreplaceable. This piece weighs 1.5 pounds or so. The inner piece is the part you replace and you lose about 50% of the weight. The stock piece weighs 18.5 pounds and it's replaced with a 6-8 pound piece. Shaving the flywheel will lighten you up .5 pounds safely but will degrade the integrity of the flywheel.

I'm definately going to buy the flywheel now that I think about it. Order it from Ptuning.com and enter pnismo for a 5% discount. There is no tax and the shipping is free. This comes to a grand total of $370.45 shipped.

Ptuning.com has the flywheel listed as 99-00. Is this just an error?

Kevin, before you do that, within I say the next week or so, keep track of the GD section.
Will do. I'm not in any big hurry to get the flywheel. I'm just looking for a deal. I probably won't be installing it until I need or want a new clutch. Thanks for lookin' out.
