I am replacing my passenger side axle, the raxle one i just replaced is making noise. I noticed on this one i ordered doesnt have that locking ring thing on the end that goes in the transaxle. Did this company send me the wrong one...or do i even need that locking ring for an automatic transaxle?

 

You don't need a circlip for the passenger side, as the axle is bolted in place in the retainer (which is bolted to the block). There's no chance of movement, unlike the driver's side which has the circlip as it's only form of retainment into the trans.
