New Bumper Lights and 1157 Re-Wire

Had to get some new bumper lights to better match my new r34 headlights...
still need to buy some white sidemarker bulbs but i wasnt gonna make a special trip to autozone just for that.

btw, all my bulbs are just cheap crap, no hids or silverstars or that nonsense. Just straight pure incandescence, thats how i roll

Looks great! But you did use some kind of connector for those wires, didn't you? You didn't leave them like that?

Thanks! I put some electrical tape over the wires, no connectors

Does your signal blinkers still work?
Did you just rewire with only the wires that are there already or add your own wires? I thought the blinkers were 1156 bulbs and not 1157.

Ya my blinkers still work. That bulb and socket is from a tail light harness which use 1157 bulbs. What you do is you connect the ground and 'high beam' part of the socket to the old blinker wires. Then connect the 'low beam' part to the side markers. That way the whole thing is lit during normal driving, then when you turn, the high beam part blinks and is still noticable. There is a write up on vqpower.com but my first picture basically sums up the entire write up.
