brake booster lines

quick question, guys. I would like to change my brake booster lines but I'm not sure if there were any fluid running through them. Could you please tell me if whether I should bleed and take out all the fluid first before changing the lines or I can just go ahead and unplug and start swapping them? I think these are only carrying air right?

They're vacuum lines, unplug and replace.

Could replacing these help with "mushy brakes" or is that solely a brake line/master cylinder issue?

Thanks

if the vacuum lines are bad, they will be harder to push. not softer or firmer, but more effort would be required to push the pedal. if the brakes are mushy, they need to be bled, or fluid changed.
