NEW best auto times

well i know most will clown me, but it's ok i have a 5th gen 3.0 auto and my first time running at the track with this car
R/T... .534
60'... 2.292
330.. 000
1/8... 9.860
mph.. 73.02
1000. 12.720
1/4... 15.166
mph... 92.20
my mods- ebay CAI, greddy evo 2 catback
cons- tranny of coarse, my tranny drags 1st to second, bounces of the rev limiter (automatically miss shifts) before going to second
now i know those are terribly slow times but i was expecting 15.5-7's but the quarter mile sticky should now have 15.1 with mod or two, change thank you...
for an auto, it's good to know i can break 14's with the no ECU option

those times are not really that bad, alittle weight reduction and you should be able to break into the 14's

A 15.1 is not bad at all for a 5th gen 3.0 auto. Do you do any weigh reduction at the track? Also, what tires are you on?

He did run it at SIR in Tucson. The high elevation here he runs low 16's. At sea level he would be much faster. The y-pipe gave better gains than the exhaust did or so it seems.

True, but in a street car, you should run it just like it is on the street with a full interior, IMO. Taking extra stuff like the spare, tools, ect out is fine but I've never understood chasing another 10th by gutting the interior, then having to put it all back together.

Always cracks me up to see some kid in a Civic with a fart can remove the back seat, passenger seat and even door panels and still run a 17.

yeah, i do somewhat agree about running street trim, cuz thats how fast your car is everyday ya know. although if i knew i was that close to a personal best you better believe somethings coming out of my car! the only thing i remove is my speaker box and thats only because it slides to the rear and pulls the amp and all the wires, etc.
