Hit a utility pole about a month ago. There is frame damage, both airbags deployed, radiator is smashed, and the lamp units on the one side are done.

Engine is in really good shape and still started right up after the accident. Transmission has no problems. The car itself has 320K on it. I am the second owner having gotten the car from my dad who got it new.

I'm not really sure what to ask for it. Obviously anything over the 50-100 I have offers for scrap would be a great start. As I have nowhere to store the car I cannot part it out so the deal would be for the whole car.

I would like to get this handled relatively quickly as I am moving away from Rochester at the end of May. I'm off on Mondays and Wednesdays and would be quite willing to meet up with anyone who would like to take a look at her. If anyone has any questions just reply on here as I will be checking this thread regularly.

 

Might want to include pics of the interior and answer the basic questions.... Auto or manual? Cloth or leather? Etc.....Could help for a faster sale.......

I will post up some interior pics when I get back home tomorrow. Sorry for my lack of initial details, I was trying to figure out exactly what is pertinent info for a parts car.

98 Max SE
~320,000 miles
Gray cloth interior
Manual trans

Parts having been replaced since car was new:
Starter
Alternator (per Nissan recall)
Clutch (5th gen done around 295K)

Everything else (except tires and brakes) is original to the car as it came off the line. Hopefully this covers some of the basics. If anyone has any specific questions let me know. I should be posting interior pics either tomorrow or wednesday.


As for there being 320K this is exactly why I am trying to find another 4th gen Max. There is no doubt in my mind I could have kept driving the car and easily hit another 100K or maybe even have gotten to 500K if that stupid pole hadn't crossed my path.
