So I haven't posted pics in a long while so I figured I'd post pix of my Daily driver. I know its not a Maxima so please forgive me if I'm wrong for posting this. I just feel like sharing my other project with you guys that's all, also looking to get some feedback. Its a 1999 Ford Expedition EB Edition. This has been where my moneys gone for the last year. I'm pretty much done with it for now, except a paint job that I'll get some day. I'm already saving again to start putting money back in the Max real soon so I can get back up to shape and make it a lil better. So hopefully I'll posting up pics of her soon.

 

 

Who switches from a Maxima to an Expedition for daily driver?

Thanks. The Max took a beating while I was slammed on Ksports, Broke an Axle, Bent a wheel, and tha clutch started slipping thanks to my pops, All in one year. So I tried selling it to try and stop from spending on constant modding and fixing but I couldn't ever let it go so I kept it. The max needs some work but motor/tranny, interior, and body are in perfect condition, I just gotta get a new clutch and axle, and repaint the front lip and its back to tip top shape. I'll turn it on and drive it every other week just to keep it going but its still like new. It only has 65k on it, so its like my baby, once its all back to shape its gonna be garaged kept.

 

Nice. The Lightning headlights are a nice touch.

 

Needs and exhaust.

 

I almost bought one of those a few years ago for a really good deal. I've always liked them. Looks nice!


Oh and +1 for paint job, black or a nice dark blue imo!

 

I like it. I havent looked but I think a roll pan in the back would look nice. Make it monotone and keep it the metallic maroon maybe just deeper and more wet looking. Like a cranberry dark cherry mix. Im just coming up with stuff. Looks nice though.

 

who is Eddie Bauer?

 

It looks really, really nice! My dad has a '99 EB edition also. But it's that wedgewood blue color. We got a smokin' deal on it in 2002 from a family in Colorado who didn't want it anymore cuz it wasn't a 4x4 lol.

I actually used to drive it when I first got my license. It was great! Now everytime I get a chance to drive it, it's soooo weird! My dad wants to switch out the "Eddie" and put "Jack" on the side emblems. If you've ever watched "24", you'd understand lol.

 

Wouldn't be complete without a license plate that reads "DAMN IT"

Thanks for the compliments. Its the only SUV I like that I can afford, Nice rounded body and way roomier then the Tahoe, even though I do like those too. But if it where up to me I would have an Armada or Titan, Love those things. My only dislike about this truck is the color, I hate red. Black and Dark Midnight Blue are actually my 2 favorite colors. Im Leanin more towards the Dark Blue or a Gunmetal Dark Grey Though, gunmetal is another fave of mines. Here's a chop I did of the color I like.

It was dark outside and I used my cousins can and he had it set on dark effect and it came out like that, I like the cranberry color but I'm more into Black/Blue or Gunmetal Smoked Grey. Thanks man prectiate it. No 4x4? that's better for you. I don't really like the 4x4 Expos, Stock they sit really really high. The 2x4 drives so smooth and comfortable its almost hard to take long road trips. But ever since I dropped it on Beltech's 2inch drop kit it rides a lil sportier. Still smooth just has that lil bounce to it.

Yeah I dont get it, Looks like Im gonna have watch some 24 now. lol.

The grey is hot! My mom has always loved red. Ha, last year she finally got her Salsa Red 07 4Runner lol. Back to topic. I love the dark blue too. It looks so hot on the new Expo's!

 

I have heard that those polk db subs really pound. Do you like them?

Yeah they're pretty good. They bang hard but I still think I could do better for the size of the vehicle, so Im considering putting these subs in that maxi. But overall yeah I love em.

Yeah I still got it but it dont look that good anymore. Im rolling 17" se wheels, took off and sold the ksports and now back on Tein Stechs, got a dent on my driverside rear door, scuffed up the pain on the front lip, and my CF hoods clear coat is gone. So its gonna take like a 800-1000$ to get back to tip top shape. Just gotta get a few things painted and some new Ksports so I can sit that low again. Im hoping to have this done by Nov.

Do you even need a car that big ? To each his own, I absolutely HATE SUVs.

I had a chance to buy a 02 Eddie Bauer for 4K bux with 102K miles on it in MINT shape. These things are not worth ANYTHING now. I hope you didn't pay more than 3K for that.

^^ Yeah, why can't people own SUV's? A lot of people really do need them. My dad has had his since 2002, and there is every reason to keep it. 5 kids in the fam, even though we all have our own rides, but there are those times when we all go somewhere together. Hence, we need a bigger ride. In comes the Expedition (with removable back seat), and we're all good! And it carries big loads too!

So just because YOU hate SUV's, it doesn't mean no one should own them. They're very useful. I don't like teeny tiny cars (Accents, Corollas, those things...), but I don't go around saying they're useless. There are those people out there that can't afford something a little bigger, or would rather just be in a smaller surrounding for easier driving.

I'm pretty sure our Expo is worth something. It's in prefect shape, even with the miles it has. I would buy it off my dad if I ever wanted to go back to being high and big lol! It was fun to drive.

 

I ride a bike to work and back.... SUVs are my nightmares, especially since I NEVER see more than 1-2 people inside em stupid things.

Get a minivan or a wagon. Then again, I aint paying for gas.... enjoy

SUV- good for offroading = YET many of them can't go ANYWHERE !! Unsafe = size doesn't mean ****.

Towing ?? - get a diesel pickup truck.
