OD operates only while pulling back shifter

The OD has not worked for a while. It only works when I pull back on the shifter with pressure, and I can turn it on and off fine. But if i let go of it, it shuts off and doesn't operate. Could this be loose wires or sumthin?

yeah, probably a loose or partially faulty wire, or the switch.

There is only two wires. They are soldered to the bottom of the shift ****. So just cut them back some. Strip the end of both wires and touch them together. This will either turn on or turn off overdrive I don't remember. If it work like it should doing this then the switch is broken. Either get a switch and place it somewhere else or get a new shift ****.
