Auto Vs. Auto... which tranny shifts better? I.E. Faster, Smoother

The Maxima. When I test drove the Altima, when gunning it once, the tranny shifted between 1st and 2nd with a HUGE DELAY, revving, about a good 3 secs. I had enough time to say come on now... The sales man was like hmmm thats weird. POS autos

 

3 seconds F that.... are you sure? 3 seconds, that means, the car would make it to 60 around 10 seconds??? come on are you serious..

 

Perhaps the tranny was slipping?

My auto seems to do the same thing between 1-2 but definitely not 3 seconds. Probably a second or less, but it's there.

 

dont matter the alty is ugly anyway. max looks sweet.

 

have you seen the altima lowered with the body kit?

 

That looks even worse IMHO. I hate the color and the front lip does not flow right.

 

Altima looks better than a Maxima. SIMPLE.

i personally think that altima looks better than the maxima when the altima has the body kit.. so when does the 2k2 bodykit come out for the max? I wanna see pictures.

I am not kidding, it was doing the 2000 Max auto syndrome! I had my tranny die on my 2k for the same thing,.

 

i believe around 1 second, but 3 is just ridiculous, hideous, nasty, disgusting, all the negative words for a auto tranny that shifts that slow.. 3 seconds, is hard to believe. I guess I'll have to go do some testing.

 

Like I said, when it was doing it, I had the time to think and say come on, shift now, then it did. That is about 2-3 sec of time.

but 89-94 were the peak years for maxima styling after that it just went down hill. 4th gens look decent 7-8. 5th gens 5-6. new maxes with that big *** old school chain medalion lookin emblem gets a 3.
My 3rd gen boys back me up.
sorry thats just How I feel. now if they made a third gen looking model with the new 2k2 motor I would buy it.

The altima does not need lowering there is a non-existent wheel gap on that car.
