Are the R34 headlights any good?

Hey guys, I've been busy with school and work for a while, and not the .org, so I've missed out on a bit.

Are the R34 style lights any good? Is there any style better than the others and is anyone doing HID retros in them? If so who and how much, I'm getting interested in modding the Maxima again and the first thing I have to do is get some good lighting.

Thanks

I did search, I just didn't find anyone selling retros, and didn't feel like reading 1000000 pages in one sitting.

But thanks, I'm guessing retros fix the output nicely?

^agreed. if you don't do retros the r34 only looks good in the day with your lights off...sadly

Yeah the r34s are awesome, if you don't drive at night.
Or you retro them...

I love my R34's as well I have Texon HID's and they are very bright. One thing I forgot to mention is that they do not fit 100% I only noticed because my car used to be tan and when I got it painted the painter decided to do a shotty job and not take a god damn thing off before painting so when I got my R34's I noticed a lil bit of tan.

r34s look awesome
give the whole front end a much more agressive look

however the output is BAD. really bad. not so much in terms of actual light, but the way it dispurses it is terrible.

where i drive (semi-urban sprawl) its all street lit, so i went ahead and got a set. well worth it imo.

here are befro and after shots:'
