Well, I hear they take a pounding in the winter. And with the meet I posted why I wasnt going. My grandmother just got out of the hospital. She had 1 whole lung removed and 1/4 of the other. I was going to go yesterday but...They backed out.

it depends on what your climate is like. Here in the NE we get rain/snow/ice etc. Usually there is a ton of salt on the roads most of the winter so our wheels will easily take a beating.

If you have a spare set of rim/tires i would put them on but it does depend on where you live. I'm in NJ so we get a mix of everything.

My chrome rims only see fall, spring, & summer. They have never seen snow.

For winter i use my MB Motoring rims w/ snow tires.

For drag i use my steel rims.

how do you drive your car without rims (bad joke)

I keep mine on because they are already messed up, otherwise I would swap them for something that sucks

man, i love driving in the snow, with stock rims or my aftermarket....so, no, i keep mine on but just keep the salt off them. i say, spend a couple hours in a parking lot after a big storm and practice with your handbrake etc... have some fun and don't switch your rims and tires like all the girly drivers out there...

Put my factory 15" flying saucers back on yesterday. I didn't get my BBS's taken off last winter and the clearcoat on one of the rims got discolored from road salt.

Blizzaks on 15" steel rims for me !
They are 1000% better than the 16" stocks!

I got a cheap set of Sport Edition 16's from Tire Rack along with a set of Blizzaks. I didn't want to go steel, but I also didn't want to stay stock. I have a tendancy to forget to slow down in the snow and I have damaged so many rims on curbs it isn't even funny. I didn't want to ruin my nice 17's.

I also went to 16's to get a slimmer tire (better snow traction), plus each tire was about $45 bucks cheaper.

You've obviously never tried to drive in 5" of snow with summer tires...I got stuck at an intersection going DOWNhill...

Take them off

I will be putting my stocks back on this week. I don't want the salt on my Konigs.

Parking lots in the winter should be called SIX FLAGS. I can't wait!
