GI: A32 I30 CF Hood?

would any of you guys be interested in an oem replica carbon fiber hood? i think its something i would like to have and have started making inquiries. so far i have 1 yes (pricing not available yet). looks like we would need about 10 pieces to put it into production. i would expect it to be slightly more exspenive than maxima hoods because of the integrated grille, but we will get a group buy price to help offset that.

ftr, i am doing this as an enthusiast not a business venture (i will not profit other than getting a product i want thats not available). my experience with parts like this is once its made it will be duplicated or flooded onto the market through ebay or direct from the manufacturer at prices i wouldn't be able to compete with.

Its not something I would be willing to spend money on at this time, but I'm interested to see how they look. I'm assuming this would come unpainted.

it would come like every other carbon fiber hood (clear coated). the deal with this is that if nobody steps up and we don't make a 10 piece order it may never exist. i've looked all over and this piece has never been made (even out of the states), so it might be now or never.

I'd be interested in seeing an initial design or model, but until I see one, I'll wait.

this is for i30s (will not fit a maxima without a full front end conversion) and would be an oem replica.

wow what a deal....i had no intentions of a cf hood but at that price makes me think twice, any chance to see a cf trunk in the future for a32 i30 as well? i should be able to let you know by the end of the weekend if i can get in on this (spending lots of money on my turbo rx8)

i hadn't really thought about an i30 trunk since mine is a front end converted maxima. we could definitely look into this, but i'd like to take it one step at a time.

I was just thinking about this. Any chance a sportier grille could come with this? Something similar to that Autech grill mentioned in another thread? I'm just not sure how a chrome grille would look with cf.

Nice grille. Black would definitely look better.
