Broken Clutch Pedal Assembly

Man I have the worst luck ever, I was at the store and my pedal broke. The spring popped out and the pin that goes thur the pedal and fork came out so I had to get the car towed home. thankyou AAA

Got it home and with the help of another org member (darrly) thanks man. I got the pedal back together, bent the fork back into shape and bleed the clutch but the car would not go into gear then it would not start.

Come to find out my starter went bad, got a new starter but the car still will not go into gear, bleed the clutch somemore and played with the rod and got the car in gear and moved it to my backyard. the pedal still did not feel right so I played with it some more and the spring popped back out, checked the pedal and it was broken. This is the 1st time I ever seen a broken clutch pedal. like I said earlier I have the worst luck

sorry guys just needed to vent, now I am waiting for a pedal in the mail and will install a new master cylinder to cover all bases and I should be back on the road and track soon hunting for 12's

btw here are some pic's of the pedal sorry my camera is not the best

I feel your pain. I broke my clutch pedal bracket twice in two different places. each time I fixed it and re-enforced it with extra steel. I'm 99% sure that mine wont break again.

You should consider beefing up the bracket before you install it so you don't have this problem later down the road. Or you could just get a weaker PP.... jk .. lol

How hard is it to remove the clutch pedal from a 4th gen? It's ALMOST impossible to remove the clutch pedal from a 3rd gen without removing the dash...

sorry to hear abput your problem but happy to see I'm not the only person, I removed the pedal in about 30mins.

I am thinking about adding a few welds to beef it up alittle

Here is a pic of the new and old master cylinder and this is after about 5mins of trying to get it straight. but you get the idea of how bent the fork got when the pedal broke.

funny thing is the master cylinder is fine and I was able to fix the fork, oh well now I'll just have a spare
