Check engine light code P1400 EGRC Solenoid

Just got a check engine light today. Autozone said that the code was P1400 which means that there was something wrong with the EGRC Solenoid. Can you guys please give me some advice and help me out here. My car is a 96 maxima SE with 185k but it still drives smooth like how it was when i first got it. Is there a way i can possibly clean the solenoid valve if it is clogged. I am not a mechanic and just learning about cars but I am a very good handy man so if i get the right instructions i might be able to complete the task myself.

That's a fun one. I think I cut myself plenty reaching around to unscrew the damn thing. Battle scars.

Solenoids aren't that spendy.

One of those ratcheting 10mm wrenches with a flexing head made it easy for me to remove the solenoid.

Hi guys,
I have run searches and read a lot of threads, but my question hasn't been answered. I just got a 1996 I30 from my parents, however it had a CEL. I took it to Autozone and it had the following 4 codes:
0111, 0304, 0707, and 1005.

From the searches I have run, it seems like 0111 is hard to diagnose and other codes may help to figure out what is wrong. My question is what is the order that I should tackle these?
I am ok at turning some wrenches and replacing parts, but don't have much experience diagnosing problems like these. Is it possible that fixing 1 or 2 of the problems will lead to the other codes going away as well? I don't want to fix things that don't actually need it. Thanks in advance.

I've found a pretty good website dealing with the diagnosis of this issue. I didn't come across this in any of my searches on the forums, so I thought I would post it here to help anyone experiencing this problem out. I haven't actaully done this yet, but I plan on it soon (realistically in the next 2 months). Hope people find this helpful.
