Guaging interest for *FREE* MEVI

I am willing to give my MEVI away for a regular US Manifold. The MEVI has been on the car for a few years, but i've realized I don't really go above 3k anymore (granny driving), I need the torque down low. So, if there's anyone here that knows how to REMOVE the MEVI and reinstall the US intake manifold, I'm willing to give it to you free of charge, along with all the components needed if you do the swap for me. I did this a few years ago, and haven't touched it since, so I don't want to screw anything up when changing it.
Let me know if anyone is interested. Also, if you have never done the swap before, or you sound like a noob, this offer will not be extended to you. Last thing I want is for my car to run like poop after the swap.

*EDIT* Car is located in New york city area

Bummer, I have a USIM for you but I am in Denver. If I was in your area I would show up and swap it for you.

I will have one for you in about a week...if you would be interested in driving up to MA? I have no time to come down to NYC but if you would be interested in driving up to Mass, I can help you do the swap.

Hey. Unfortunately I don't really have the time to drive to Mass for this either. Sorry man, but thanks for the offer.

Where are you in CT? hmm. have you ever done this swap before? I have, it is semi-involved. I don't remember all the steps, so I wanted someone with experience. I really don't want to do it and have something forgotten along the way. This will be my daily driver and I don't have time to constantly mess around with it.

On that note, since i'm using this for a daily driver, I want to get rid of my stillen bpipe/muffler too. Willing to trade that for something more stockish, or something quieter.

I'm located in Central Jersey and am considering this. i've never done the swap before, but i've removed my IM before to check injectors and all the mods listed below I've done personally. Also I'd bring along my step father who's a mechanic. We'd get it done in over quick and well not to worry about that.

We'd just load up the truck w/ the air compressor, tools, and be done with it. And if I remember right the MEVI is a direct swap? Btw, do you have the cover?

I just need to make sure he's got the time. And well, am I worthy for the extension of the offer?

th swap really is easy, no customization is needed. if youve ever taken off your intake manifold before, you can install a MEVI. Ive taken my MEVI on and off about 3 times in the last 2 months (dont ask) and I can take it off and put it on in about 30 minutes now. Too bad I live in wisconsin...****.

I just did this to my 1999 and the coolant line was the most time consuming part. It can be done in under 4 hours though.

Nope. Not yet. Still going through some details. I'm trying to get a bunch of demodding done at once. Anyone want to trade exhausts? I have a Stillen bpipe/axleback that i would like to trade for something more quiet.

I'm in Bridgeport, CT. I have taken off the usim dozens of times. Never had personal experience with a mevi. But, I have the polished USIM off of the car right now so as soon as we get your MEVI off I can install the USIM no problem and worry about putting the MEVI on my car at a later date. What do you think?

Agreed that the two firewall bolts (12mm I believe) aren't necessary for re-installation. The IM has plenty of support from the other bolts as there is no weight or load pressuring it from above.

Nope. not gone yet. I actually found a few things I need to change/fix on my car, and i would rather keep this MEVI as a "payment" for the labor that will need to be done.. so I am trying to get a list of all the work I need completed before I proceed.
