Still have brakes problems

Fellas,
I thought I had sticky calibers, so I replace them (fronts) but there are still not working well. It seems to be working fine for 3 weeks. Starting last weekend, sometime I have no problems but then all the sudden, the car starts braking by itself. I think the problem is the with the front driver side brake. I can sell "pads burned" on that side. What do you think? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated. I have a 97 SE.

When did this start? After the pads were changed? Did you do the work?

It started 10 days ago when I tried to put my UR pulley on. Then, I had new front calibers on for 2 weeks and had no problems.

Could be a master cylinder problem. But it's too hard to tell by your vague description.

Let me try to be clearer.
I had problems with the brakes, so I replace the front calibers 3 weeks ago. The problem was fixed. Then 10, days ago, after I worked on my UR pulley, the brakes problem started again. Sometime, things seems to be OK, then all the sudden, the car is braking by itself. I suspect the front passager side brake. The brake pedal is fine. It has pressure, that why I do not think the master cylinder is the problem.
Anyway, I talked to my friend/mechanic and I am bringing the car in after work. He thinks that it might be the abs. We will see..

is your ABS light on? does your pedal pulsate when you brake? why does your Mechanic think its the ABS? hows your brake fluid level? if its overfilled it can cause your brakes to self apply.

Maybe b/c the car is braking by itself sometime.

Fluid level is correct/no overfilled

Does the car pull to the right when it "self brakes" and does it smell hot on only that side. If so, it shouldn't be a master cylinder problem.

Along with new front calipers I assumed you installed new pads?

Did you do the work?
