High Output Apt Wire...

Hey Guys.

I was speaking to someone from Ohio Generator. They said its not a good idea to put the 0 guage wire on a alt to the battery becasue it can cause a problem with the positive part of the alt and suggest I should use 4 guage. True?

I have been having a problem this morning with the brake light and the battery light coming up. I have a iraggi 220amp alt on there. I got it less than a year ago. Any ideas?

If battery and brake light both come up at the same time then its a charge issue probably your alternator crapped out on you. I don't know why you want to change the alt alt-battery connection whats wrong with the one that came with the car. I just don't understand what your question.

no. I just had my optima battery fully charged. Car dies 3 or four starts later. Salted. I'm not sure what caused it. I've only had it for a year and two months. The reason the wiring was changed is because they said to add on 0 guage wiring. Come to think of it, i've only been running a 600 watt amp eversince. Maybe the wiring being to big did casue a problem. Is there anything else i can check before i actually pull the alternator out all together?

i dont know the answer to your question, but i do know some guys that got some very good and technical advise from Ohio Gen. Knowing that their entire business is alternators, i would assume that their advise is pretty sound.
