2007 CVT Maxima 14.48 @ 94.86 MPH on 17" Drag Radials!

I went bracket racing today I made it to the third round but I ran my best ET in the 07 Max I shaved off 4 tentghs of a second with the drag radials and picked up almost 2MPH.

Awesome times man! Great to see the smaller wheels and DR's providing such a gain in the ET. Did you heat up the DR's at all? 2.1x's arent bad, but I think there's still room to improve even more on that 60ft. What were the temps when you ran?

You will definately free up alot of rotational mass by going with 17" rims my Enkei's weigh 17lbs. and the Drags up front will get you off the line smoother.

No I did'nt because I dont know how the CVT would handle it. I just dry hopped them.

Cvt are quite stronger then people think... i beat the living **** out of a cvt sentra (launching.burning out all sorts of things) and it was fine.. me and my freinds switched cars for a week.. i hate not having the feeling of shift.. but cvt is strong i even think with enough power it could spin slicks.

found this... http://youtube.com/watch?v=YxM-8tOySzs

nice runs by the way thats fast for non sticky tires.

Thanks! I checked out the video that was a very nice burnout but that still doesnt mean it's good on the tranny, I'm just gonna stick to dry hopping for now as long as I get off the good, got to play it safe.

ever thought about launching harder? a 2.1 60' is pretty slow for drag radials. good times though, the CVT obviously accelerates a lot better down low.

WTG Kevin. Impressive times. I still think that your times will improve with those methods that worked on mine. I don't think my '07 would've run any quicker than a 15.0 in those kind of conditions. Let me know when you will be running it again and I'll bring mine down.
I just found my slip from my 14.53 pass. Here it is to compare.
60'.....2.154
330....6.162
1/8.....9.363
mph....76.64
1k......12.155
1/4.....14.537@94.? (clock didn't give me mph)

Dave I think you left early when I saw you at capitol a few weeks ago I was able to get the CVT down to 14.45@ 95 on STREET TIRES! and I left it in drive all the way down the track.
