Need Place Racing motor mount install advice
Just as I thought my car I can't get the damn thing on the car. The problem is the last through bolt I cant get on. I've already got the rear mount set, and the front pin for where the urethane is on, as well as the bottom rear bolt for the front mount. The only bolt left is the forwards most bolt I can't get in the hole cause they dont line up! I guess I'll just have to use brute force and force the bad boy on. Is there any place in particular to either jack, or stick a crowbar to wedge this thing in?
BTW, the "arrow" on the mounts is supposed to face forwards right?

heheh yea the arrow should go forward. I guess you can only try to pry it or something. How are you supporting the engine rite now? if its with a jack, try going up or down, maybe move to different jack position. Mine went in fine but i cant get the rear bolt through the mount.
I had the same problem.
Put the mounts on to the cross member and leave the bolts started but loose. Put the mounts on to the motor mounts with the bolts started but loose. Start the rear cross member bolts, leave them loose. Then start the front cross member bolts. Once all the bolts are started. Tightem them all down.
The trick is to leave every thing loose until you get all 10 bolts started.

After hours of frustration and swearing I finally got it in. I did the "leave everything loose but started" trick, but what I wound up doing, was I put the 2 lower bolts of the front mount 1/2 way in, and then I used the hydraulic jack to flex the metal/urethane/whateverelsethatgives mounts enough so then I used a hammer and drove the bolts thru. Wow I have to say that was honestly the hardest part of the install, installing and aligning the transmission was easier. I destroyed the threads of the bolts on previous attempts so now the nut is "locked" on there. The thread behind the nut is totally flattened out. So I'll replace them, but not ANYTIME soon :-)
