WTB: 95/96 CE/Ebay Red/Clears

Hey all,

I have a feeling some of you bought these but decided not to use them. I want to do a little project with them. So if you have any of these that are in great condition, let me know.

I don't want to pay the ebay price of $130 on a project that may/may not work, so let me know what you will sell yours for.

Thanks,
David

The only thing that bugs me about the lights is the chrome top, so my plan is to open them up and paint the chrome part black.

what one of you guys needs to try is swapping the red/clear leans onto a oem housing. maybe do some led tails.

i remember 1 guy trying to open them and not being able to though.

I tried to search for people that have opened up the new red/clears and couldn't find anyone that succeeded or failed, so I may have to try it myself.

If I do get them off, I'll see if they fit the stock housings. But I don't think the design is the same.

I tried this....

I ended up cracking the lense, but I think it CAN be done. Use a dremel to cut the backing off and then heat up the light in the oven to take the rest of the plastic and glue off.

It's a huge PITA. A better alternative is to use the clear lenses of altezzas.

Just my $.02

I'd be making them a DTM style and want to be able to put it back together again after I paint the upper section black. So, cutting them is not an option.
