hood question

hey guys im in a big rush right now and cant really search but i need help...im trying to pop the hood and cant...i pulled the thing and heard a little click but nothing...it didnt do anything...is there a trick or a secondary way to open it? i need help quickly please

Keep pulling the thing. If that doesn't work, just pull and hold, get someone to pop the hood, then spray WD40 on the hood latch, that worked for me.

okay ill try it..but i dont even think the latch release is being pulled by the cable...

Your screwed. You can try removing the lower splash shields and see if you can get your arm up to the latch. Otherwise, your going to have to break your center grill to get to the latch and then replace the cable.

I agree with Chris. Keep trying. Maybe use two people. Once it's open, soak it with WD40. This happened to my girlfriend's hood and gas door (older Camry). I just have to WD40 her latches every 6 months.

well it wouldnt have done anything because the cable detached from the hood release latch...anyways like i said i did it already....
