Lowered Even More FTL :( *pics*

Well heres the pics.

The Story,
Its a good one.....

Well while driving to work this morning at about 5:00am (early job) I was pretty sleepy still, due to a late night before, and was probably close to the point where I shouldnt have even been driving at all, not to much traffic though so I headed on down to work.

On the way there, there is some contruction. and they were tearing down an old median and theres was a fairly large piece of curb lying in the middle of the road.
While being tired as hell I drove right over it and bang, flat tire, my car shoots in the air by about a foot. Good times. I have a 2x2" tear in the sidewall, and the fender got bent a bit, paint also cracked and i havent check under the car yet.

My question is, what components should I do some major diagnostics on suspension wise after an incident like this? My Chamber is waaaaay out as well as toe in, but it also looks like the wheel is sitting really tucked in in the fender well. all input and comments welcomed, thanks

wow that sucks. glad your ok though. was it just the passenger side that got punctured?
i would just jack it up, remove passenger or both if necessary and check all the of the suspension components for bends, cracks and what not.

control arm would be the main thing IMO. also check the rim if you cracked it or not

the company that left the curb is responsible for all damages. i hope you contacted them immediately. sorry for your loss. also i'm sure you will not be the only person reporting it.

lol glad you're okay! check the rim, strut/mount, control arm, and all kinds of things in that area.

just make sure you check your struts, springs, and double check your control arms and even your front sway bar. also make sure you check around your top hats and your on top of your strut towers to make sure you didnt bend any screws or body frame.

and take the rim into a rim repair shop to see if it's still in round.
I doubt that it is.... but it doesn't hurt to add that to the list of stuff to get repaired by the construction company.
good luck as I know by experience that they really don't like to pay out.

well the rim got a nice dent in it and Its not a big deal to me since I have 2 full sets (10 in total) of those ugly honeycombs. (had two max's)

Well nothing looks bad, so far as I can tell I think I put a final end to my worn out ball joint. about halfway through turning the steering wheel theres a defined "clunk" and the wheel shifts around freely.

the chamber is out almost past the adjustment is what a mechanic friend of mine told me, so The control arm might be damaged. I work at a dealership so Im gonna see if I can get it hoisted up and take a good look at it. thanks

*O and yea, Im going all out on this company, the construction here is so half a ssed, this would be the second time my suspension has taked a hit due to bad construction now. before it was a large cut in the road that they forgot to fill back up.

Should things that can slash tires be in the road.? Check control arm and axles maybe.

Dang, that sucks. I have nightmares about cars doing that... suspension giving out and riding on rims.

Anyways, I'm parting out my car, (see my sig), lemme know if you need anything. Oh, I have 3rd gen VE wheels and tires (tires may need to be replaced), they're similar to yours, lemme kno if you want them.

apparently it looks like ive badly damaged the strut and the control arm might be out a bit. so it looks like im in for some good work to be done.

I also noticed that it bent the body panel underneath the car a bit, and beat the hell out of that little lip along the bottom around where you put the jack under.

Yeah grant. Judging by the negative camber you were dialing in without any say..id say there is a very good chance your strut is bent, and your control arm is probbaly damanged. You said your steering wheel was off center too, so it could have damaged your steering rack. Take this company to the bank, it could have been dangerous, imagine if you were going a little faster and when you hit it you lost control and veered into oncoming traffic. If you dont know what contractor it is, contact the city of surrey and they will tell you what contractor it is and point you in the right direction.

i hopefully they will cover the cost of everything for you. I hope you got a police report on the spot, otherwise it will be tuff to prove it happened there.
