Terrible time...

I am having a terrible time finding a 97+ 4th gen, 5 speed, with preferrably black leather interior that is in good shape. Any of you know of any that is for sale on the east coast. I will drive to get one. Also if anyone knows anyone interested in an 01 I30 I would even trade that for the right car.

Patience grasshopper.

I waited 6 months to find my 99 Max, and 3 months to find my 98.

Ptatohed waited 8 months for his 99 Max..

FWIW, you're lucky. Most 5 speeds are on the East Coast. I'm sure you'll find one in no time. Meanwhile, enjoy your I30.

I waited 4 months to find myself a nice low mileage, fully loaded, 97+ SE. Just be patient and it will come.

Actually now that I think of it, PM maximaSE327, as I know he is selling his 97 Rosewood SE fully loaded with black leather.

Dang, took me 4 years to find my 97 gxe 5sp. How'd you guys find yours so quickly? Well, maybe cuz I was picky, Mine was 98,000 miles, owner had 100,000 mile warranty, everything serviced and up-to-date and well taken care of. Plus, it was several $1000 below market value. I like a good deal!

To the OP... sucks man, I couldn't sell my car for Fair Market Value, so I'm parting it out. Oh well.

I PMd the above guy and him and I may be working something out. I am not too sure about the rosewood but it is growing on me.

I've seen his car in person and it is really nice. It has been maintained really well too, by the same mechanic that I go to regularly.

Just from my experience of searching from Max's. When I opened up my search to "Any miles" then the 5 speeds would pop up and they were mostly on the east coast. My theory is that there are more people on the northern east coast than the northern west coast where snow will fall. 5 speeds are better for the snow from what I understand since you can start off in second gear.
