Temporary rims on - spacers suck
Temporary rims on - spacers suck
So I sold my 18" 5ziggen FN01-C rims. I plan to go with OEM Z or G coupe rims so I wouldn't have to use spacers, however I don't have those yet. I picked up a set of rims for my 5.5 gen, but put them on since I need rims on my 4th gen. Anyway they didn't clear my BBK with 20mm spacers. I had to put my 5mm spacers on in addition to the 20mm for a total of 25mm. I sure didn't like the result. The fronts stick out way too much...and it's more noticeable with 235/45/18 tires. They also rub the outside splash shields. Good thing is it's only temporary. I really do like the rims though, and I think they will look good on the 5.5 gen.
They are 18" Zen Type R rims, thanks mtrai760!

Alright, so I swapped wheels with the 5.5 gen (GLE 17's). The 17's actually clear better. Basically 20mm in the front, 5 mm in the rear. I'm amazed that they cleared because 5th gen SE rims will not clear with 20mm spacers. I like how the 17's give my BBK the illusion of looking even bigger than they really are.
