Just got my 5 gen muffler put on .

I got a good deal on a muffler from a 5 gen max so i decided to change mine before installing the y-pipe later on this weekend. My old muffler was almost done and my b pipe had a hole in it right by the muffler. there was no problem with the fitment . i love the new sound of the car cant wait for the y pipe. just wanted to let people know that if they can get a cheap 5 gen muffler its worth it .I payed 40$ for having it put in in a local shop.
here are 2 pictures how the exhaust looks now , i didn't cut the bumper or anything.

hmm it sits exactly how mine does; slightly off to the left. I thought mine was like that because of the idiots who did the welding and figured that they may have screwed something up, but I guess that's just kind of normal? I was thinking of cutting the bumper, but I decided to leave it alone before I made it look any worse

I agree, I love the OEM-ish sound! Great alternative to a rusted or, even worse, riced out 4th gen muffler.

yea i though they messed something up too lmao. but now i guess it is normal . i love the sound , my old one was rusted out plus the b pipe had a hole so it was way too loud on the highway.

looks like a frankenstien job. I can't say that I like the dual tip when the cutout is make for a single tip.

Just my $0.02

I gotta agree with JSMax, I don't like the look of it either, but you gotta love the OEM sound on there.

i still think the G35 sedan muffler looks best on the max.

i also believe this exhaust would look sweet to on max.

RE: V35 muffler. Well, it IS on the complete opposite side of the bumper + that muffler is NOT OEM, but I'm sure you knew that. Some A33 members have don't it. I heard a sound clip on an A33B w/ headers once and I liked it.

you would have to drop that b-pipe pretty low as the rear beam would put a load on the pipe when you jacked the car up.
