Brake pads interchangable between generations?
Brake pads interchangable between generations?
I know that the front brake pads are the same for the 4th gen('95-'99) and 5th gen('00-'01). Does anyone know yet about the '02s? All you '02 owners out there I need one of you to see if the pads are a different size. Nissan says the rotors are larger but that might not mean the pad changed.

The Maxima's "cut above" performance is reinforced by a refined engine-speed-sensitive power rack-and-pinion steering and enhanced 4-wheel disc brakes with 16 millimeter larger front discsand 4-wheel/4-channel/4-sensor Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

Re: Brake pads interchangable between generations?
To be exact, they are not the same for 95-99 to 00-01. 5th gen pads are a bit wider and thicker (surface area), the actual backing is the same size. So they will fit both gens.
