would a stock muffler from an 00-01 max fit on a 02-03 max?

is the piping larger on the 02-03 due to the larger engine?

The entire catback is identical from 00-03 as well as the muffler! By the way that a trick muffler( 1 pipe @ low load, 2 pipes @ mid-high load)

 

While we're on the subject, I really want to get a greddy SP2 catback, but they don't make one for 5th gens... only 4th and 6th. Would a 4th gen catback exhaust will fit on a 5.5 gen maxima? If not, is the difference something minor that a qualified exhaust shop could get around?

Wheelbase size is identical and the otherall length of the car is almost identical between 4th and 5th gen.

Only minor things would need to be changed if anything

In fact now that I think of it...4th gens often install 5th gen axlebacks

OBX catback for 00-03 or Megan racing catback for 95-99
