you can't find a local shop to just weld in a new flex for $80?

That is a very wise idea. I will go that route. Hopefully I wont get charged more then 80 for a freaking flex section. I was discussing that route with my father since I m scared the studs will snap off from being so rusted.

I have a fed spec, with literally 5,000km's on it(does not include 02 sensors) in a box ready for shipping, if you decide not to get the flex section welded on. Pm me if interested.

I paid $80 for mine, but I know the shop manager and had him do something else at the same time. a better deal I am sure could have been found, but I know and trust the guys to do it right and it worked fine.
