How do you program the ignition transponder key?

I just bought a 2000 GLE to replace my 94 GXE that got hit and totalled. I only got one key with the chip in it and want to get another couple made. I have tried the stickies but the links are all messed up.

So does anyone have the programming proceedure they could share? Thanks.

Yep, here's the programming procedure:

Step 1. Gather up all keys you want to have programmed.
Step 2. Drive to a Nissan dealer, have them program your keys.

All done.

like allready mentioned, this is something that you cannot DIY, you have to bring it to the dealership or a locksmith who has the proper equipment, not all of them can do the programming.

Just wanted to say: Shop around with Locksmiths. The cheapest I found in my area was about 70/key!! The dealer wanted nearly 200. Other locksmiths wanted MORE than the dealer just for ONE key!

Thanks guys. I called one local locksmith so far and he wants 75 bucks. I have to call a few more, Navigator82 seems to have found a good deal.
