maxima vs. probe gt (3-0)

so me and a friend are driving out of our apartment to take care of some business, when i ran across this probe gt (one of the newer ones). so i pull beside him and we both floor it. wasnt much of a race, since he could not keep up at all, by 85-90 mph i had more than 3 car lengths on him. so i let go of the gas, and he comes flying by me again! so once again i floor it, and it was over again. then i got a chance to line up against the guy at the next light. took him right off the line this time, no chance for him again. i heard his wheels spinning in 1st, but by the time he caught traction i was gone the guy seemed ****ed at his car cos we saw him beat the **** of his steering wheel in anger! a nice 3-0 win when it was least expected

Seriously probes suck, I have this kid that got hit by a 99 Mercury Cougar and his car was crumpled on the side and the tire bent. All the Cougar had was a scratch

So somewhere your statement does not make sense.

probe has a mazda mx6 engine hehe.... u'll be suprised how fast it runs just with cold air intake =P it comes with like 165 hp? or something like that...hehe.... i raced my friend with a 5 speed probe, and me and my automagic well...pretty even...and that's just when i had my intake...and he had cai...actually..he took me until 80..but after 80...i zoomed by him.

actually probes arn't that bad... i'd take that, or an MX-6 if i couldn't get a maxima... the probes have like 165hp and 160 pounds of torque. with CAI and a cat-back it's a pretty nice car to drive.

Alot of people don't realise that it's actually only got the ford body, but the engine is that of the MX-6 it's got a sweet stroke of 2.92. makes a nice sound.

you can find out more about this engine by visiting this site:

http://www.bradbury.cwc.net/probemx/probefaq.htm

it's a pretty good faq

HEY Don't underestimate the ford probe...they may be a girl car but there are many turbo charged 2 gen and they could mop the floor with your car. My buddy has a probe and I must say it can beat me car. and Fords do not sux!

At Maxus, Aaron had a lot to say about your car. Do you have a VB?

Actually, the Probe GT horsepower is 164hp Same engine as the Mazda MX6 and V6 626.
0-60 on those cars is 7.6 seconds. I raced one recently and it was an easy kill. Unless modded, not even worth the effort.

really? i didnt really get a chance to meet a lot of people at maxus. next time perhaps... and nope, i dont have a vb yet. i'm still waiting for it on that old gd, maybe i'll just send mine in soon. but otherwise this is what i got...

HKS Muffler, Courtesy Nissan B Pipe, Muffler Man 2.5" cat, Budget Exhaust Y pipe, HKS intake, Stillen Body kit, Custom front grill with Nissan wing emblem, Shaved rear end, DavidL's tail lights, Brushed Aluminum Dash kit, bunch of neons, Cattman FSTB, Addco RSB, Apex springs, KYB shocks and two Maxima.org stickers

I plan on working on the tranny next... i'm just in the process of making up my mind whether to do a 5spd conversion or the automagic way. as of now, i'm leaning towards the automagic way...

wrong, fords STILL suck. the only mustang i would ever own would be a saleen. btw i'm stock and i beat a 5.0 with an h pipe and flowmasters that goes to my school. we raced from 30 to 115 and bye 110 i was at least a car and a half on im and pulling. mustangs are a dime a dozen.
