6MT passenger side axle woes

Alrighty guys and girls, I could really appreciate some help and/or advice from anybody that has gone through this or from someone that can get ahold of an axle from a salvage yard.

I just spoke with Marty at Raxles. He said he keeps running into dead ends with the passenger side axle and that it doesn't look like he's going to find a fix for it anytime soon. So no HD pass side axle anytime in the near future. After he told me that, I asked him if I could buy a normal pass side axle eventhough he won't warranty it because I'm lowered but he couldn't do that either. He said he has ran out them because every core that a customer sends back is so destroyed that he can't fix it. He said it all boils down to Nissan's bad design. I've been calling every junk yard in my area and nobody has a pass side axle and I definetely don't want to fork out $460 for one from Nissan. I can't really drive the car anymore because of the almost constant shaking from the right side. Can anyone help me out?

I also have another question. Since my max is lowered, I know it's more likely that a new axle will go bad. But I have a mild drop (maxspeeds), and I don't dog or race my max very much anymore like i used to. Has anybody had success with new axles while still ridin on modest lowering springs. Or should I just go back to the stock springs to be safe?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

+1 on car-part.com.

I just went thru what you did. All the "aftermarket" ones were for the auto and when I spoke to Marty at Raxles, there were no options for the passenger side. I ended up ordering one from a junkyard on car-part.com for around 100+shipping. Installed and good to go. Make sure the place you get one from at least some kind of guarantee. Car is smooth now and I can hold off till there are more options.

Thanks!

zero2sixty what kind of guarantee did you get with yours? Basically just a guarantee that the axle is straight and cv boots are good and not torn?
