JWT ECU Track results

Well I went to the track yesterday expecting a new PB which I got but it was no where near where it should have been. Last week I ran my best time since my 00VI swap which was a 15.2. That run was with 93 octane, 2 stripped bolts on my LIM and my IACV disconnected. I switched out my LIM, hooked up my IACV, and added a midpipe and went back to the track yesterday. I got 5 runs in all but was not track ready. My mom put 87 in the car thrusday and I forgot to take my stock Z exhaust out of the trunk . Before I ran the car I put .718 gals of 110 in it hoping ti would help some. Ok so my first run was a 15.6@87. This was with no cool down time after 20 mins of highway driving to the track. My second run was 32 mins later with the Z exhaust removed from the trunk and I ran 15.3@88. For the next couple of runs Jaypee99 let me use his JWT ECU with the extended rev limiter. I decided to leave it in drive for the next run since I never practiced shifting the car at 7200 before. I watched my revs as I was going down the track and the car shifted at lik 5500 haha and I ended up with a 15.4@88. The next 2 runs I shifted the car manually and got a 14.97@92.5 and a 15.0@91(redlighted). Considering I was on 87 I'd say it wasnt to bad but stil not satisfied. Also i'm running all 5th gen VI parts untuned. Here are the timeslips in order:

An IS300 with a 2JZ and nitrous. It had a parachute on the back too.

I'm pretty sure I did shift right before the traps but my car has a delay in shifts so I may have moved the stick but the car shifted after the traps.. I do have codes but I'm so used to the light I forget to check them sometimes. I replaced the knock sensor about a year and a half ago so I doubt that is the problem. I'm thinking its my 2.25 inch muffler and not being tuned.

AFAIK my VIAS is opening at least I see the rod moving when I rev it. Also my butt dyno says it is. I'll check it just in case though.

i remember meeting you at the NWP meet.. yeah, i agree those times are not what you should be running with your mods.. especially if you ran a 14.9 BEFORE the 00VI, cause that definitely wouldn't slow you down.. your traps should be consistently in the 90's without the ECU.. what were you trap times like on 93 octane? as tom said, i would try to change something with the VI though

They were all 88 mph but that was with the vacuum leak between the UIM and LIM. I'll check my codes in a second to what what I have. Hopefully just the evap. Last week was the first time I got "real" times after my swap. Everything before that was crap.

On one of your runs you ran a 14.9 with a .8 reaction. You should be able to run about a 14.2 just by launching earlier.

Reaction times dont affect 1/4 mile times the 60' does.

no, reaction time is not factored in to your ET.

Its so funny you posted this because I actually looked back at this thread earlier today and realized that if I would have gotten a 2.1 like i did one my previous 14.9 run I could have ran a 14.7. Not to mention Im still on my stock catback and untuned. That ecu really showed how much I need tuning since I gained 4mph.

aj tune ur car bro.. that will probably drop it to 14.7-14.8 range....
the reason i say that is i made 3 passes in my auto 96 and and they were all 15.2 15.3 range and 91-93 mph... i just got a intake, ypipe, full custom catback and no rear seat and no VI... sits on ksports with 17" from 00 Se
