What were your 60's like? Congrats on the times, nice work.

BTW in your sig you spelled notarized incorrectly. How come you put your trap speeds but not your ETs in your sig?

congrat's hopefully I can do the same b4 the year is out and run 13's n/a and 12's on the spray

Thanks guys.
Im thinking of going back @ the begining of next year with the exact same setup. The car is good for low 12's as is, so I might go for 11's with a few "tweaks".(tom).lol
Fyi my turbo project went south for a bit. No turbo is the main reason I threw on the nitrous this year sooo props go out to t6378tp for the help installing the nitrous. As you can see he wants me to go back this year & break some local records... but im pretty much content for the year. I will leave that up to him.lol

110mph isn't going to get you anywhere near 11's

You'll need some 115+ to even get close, unless your pulling 1.7x 60's.and even then I still think you'll need atleast a 115mph trap. I plan on hitting 11's @ 118 or so hopefully higher if my turbo can handle 25psi on some 110. Also if your not using 110 i would strongly recommend it.

Now if you up that shot to say a 125 or 150 then I'd say you'll be grabbing those 11's just watch those a/f numbers and I hope you have a a/f gauge while your running that single port.(direct port would be the best and safest way, but I nderstand its a pain in the azz).......please keep me updated. Also I got some things I wanna talk to you about. And what happened to the turbo build???? I was really looking foward to that thing

You can help me build my forged internal sr if ou want???

There is some sort of misunderstanding between us...
Dont worry.... I will make you a "beliver".lol

The turbo project is still in the making, I just knew it wouldnt be done this year hence the nitrous PB. Its weird you say these things... because you know what I have sitting in my back yard.... If you watch the vids I posted you will see I have the afr thing covered....
As for the 11 sec slip.... You will see.... I will bump this thread when that goal is met next year either with nitrous or turbo.

Ok Ok I dont want this thread going sideways & slaming into a poll.
Just dont forget my pb last year was in the 15's then 14's this year 13's now 12's. I have learned alot since the 15's. Im not here to convince you I can run 12's or 11's But just pay attention for a sec. Im confused because you know my setup I guess you just dont understand what its capable of. my PB trap is 111.81mph that was the 12.9 run spining through the top of first & the WHOLE of second. Not to mention low bottle psi ( 890-900) Like tom mentioned take a look @ the afr. There is cleary more power to be made... Like I said I might return with a few "tweaks"
Tweaks could include: Launch technique/ adj afr/ lighter rims/ c/f hood - trunk... more weight reduction/ Shoot I could up the shot a bit if thats what it takes..
I updated the Page on taon website. If you come out one of these days I will pop the hood & see if you can spot the nitrous system. I have the juice hiding in plain sight lol

Yup, slicks would do a body good... I didn't realize that you are building a turbo too - impressive skills.

I did run a 12.7 with a single 75-shot (slicks) and another 12.8 for luck, so if you get traction, I'm sure you can do as well or better. Your MPH says lower 12s are in there somewhere. By the way, nice looking car - the front-end treatment looks mean.

Thankyou
Yes a turbo 3.5 4thgen is the plan. The project is coming along & should be "complete" by the end of next year. Im def running slicks with the turbo setup though. I purchsed the sarona hood for two purposes
Weight reduction & heat ventilation. But im thinking of going back to a c/f hood for more weight reduction.
I will go next year on a warm day & see what I can do. But this time I will have a 3"cutout & some bigger jets just incase.lol

I am not putting it on because it will not be any fun on the street because f the lag....it doesn't fully spool until like 4500, luckily my car rev's to 8K!

Ok, daryl after finally watching your vids I have a few considerations.

1) I would say bounce the throttle instead of just holding it
2) also let the other guy come up and put on one yellow light, then you come and do one then you do 2. Once you have one on start to feather the throttle instead of just holding a certain rpm.
3) definitely do a longer burnout. It was way to short for drag radials. There definitely not getting hot enough....hence the reason why your spinning so much

Now this is just what I am seeing. Try it out if you want because I think it will definitely help ALOT! This is what i always do and always will. Hope this helps.......

Oh and she really does move and can definitely hit atleast mid 12's. You should definitely go again and try what I said it can't hurt??

Im leaving from idle next time. 1k rpms if that doesnt work I will try your technique.
As for the burnout. I will adjust my parking brake. The car pulled through the water box with the parking brake all the way up
To be honest I didnt know about the staging process, I will def try it next time. Good looking out. Next time will be very intresting.

RPMs - ?? - everyone has to learn that for themselves - I launch at 3000, but for automatics, that's kinda extreme. DRs won't hold much anyway.

Your parking brake probably won't hold the car however you adjust it. Practice getting the tires spinning in the water box - 5K or so - and let the car come forward out of the water box for 10-15 ft while spinning, let up on the throttle and Ebrake at the same time. When you do this right, your car will be thrown forward towards the tree. Hit the brakes. Your tires will be hot - and dry.

I've never found any difference in staging - except roll forwards as far as you can once the second light comes on - might help a bit with ETs...

Doing good out there..

What he said about the water box. No matter what you do the parking brake won't hold.
