I recently installed my Greddy exhaust and the thing rattles whenever I go around looping turns. The exhaust piping is hitting the fuel tank underneath. Is there some type of heat resistant padding that I can place on either the exhaust or fuel tank? Anybody have additional suggestions on how to get rid of the rattle?

 

Are you sure it isn't that metal bar that crosses the 'tunnel' in front of the gas tank? That was the problem with mine.

 

Well, that part is also rattling! It's worse on the gas tank though. I can see that the finish is wearing off of the exhaust pipe and gas tank. How did you fix the rattle problem that you had?

 

my Greddy touched my gas tank as well during installation...i had the mechanic weld on a little piece to my exhaust to keep it from hitting the gas tank...i think it's holding well so far...i haven't been under my car to check if it has been hitting or not...but i don't notice any rattling at all...
