Gray Luster tint?

i am looking to get my Gray Luster 2k1 SE tinted real soon. I wanted to know what would be the best tint percentage to get. Or best tint type. I have read about this titanium tint, but havent seen it. If you have pics of yours or another Gray luster tint job, post it up. I would like the tint to match the color of the car, dont know what % that is. I appreciate the feedback.

Re: Gray Luster tint?

www.tintdude.com and http://autowindowtintings.com/main.cfm?action=home are good websites about tinting to check out..

i myself will get tinted windows soon too.. some people i've seen with gray luster do either regular black or mirror tint.. titanium is cool looking costs more.. go with either 20% or 35%, depending on where u live.

Are you planning to change your rear lights ? In MY opinion, the 02 rear lights do not look right on the supah black color.

NO WAY--I have a grey lustre max and i lov'em--appearently nissan does too by posting the fat black lustre tail pic at nissandriven.com

but to each his/her own

i am putting on the black chrome 2k-2k1 "MAXIMA" and "SE" badges thinking it would actually accent the chrome tails more than the current (2k2) shiny chrome badges do

if i had the smoked tails, i think the 2k2 badges may look better
anyways, different stroke for different folks

Be Careful!!

Find out what your state law says about the percentage of darkness on the tint or you could have a visit from your local state trooper, with his gadget in hand like I experienced.
State law in Georgia is 10%-That is the limit.
My tint registered at 11% and I got a warning ticket. Where I had the tint installed at did not tell that the tint was 11%…they advertised it as 20% .
This info was given to the trooper and I guess he had someone to go and investigate the false ad claim because the next time I went there for an accessorie, they were no longer able to sell or install tint. So be careful and ask and get proof of the tint percentage

35%

In VA 50% is the law, which means how much sunlight the tint allows in I think. I also have a grey lustre and you can get away with 35%. I have been pulled over once in a year and half, told the officer my wife got it for me for Christmas and he let me slide.

I thought the thread was for Gray Luster maximas and tint. Any tint looks good on a black. But i was hoping for pics of GLuster max's with tint. Leagality about tint is a shady issue. Mine is leagal in PA but not in DE. Acutally the legal tint in PA has changed in the past year. But i am going to get it done anyway. I never got stopped in my old car. But it depends on where you live. Unfortunately i bet that cops are less likely to stop a maxima with tint than a beater with tint, due to sterotyping. well those with gray luster tints please show pics, thanks

Check for certificate laws too...

Washington has a 35% all around rule, but you have to have a certificate installed on the driver side window between the window and the tint which details the tint job so that a cop can just take a look. Technically, you can be ticketed with legal tint if you don't have that little sticker on the windshield.

in ND you can have the front tinted only up to 70% so my 50% is illegal, and there is no limit on the back. i actually think the 5% tint i have on my back windows is a bit much, i wish i had gone for 15% or 20%, but it will be nice once i get the DVD system in the car because there wont be any glare.

thanks keh mon,
Are you from the philly area? I saw a max like yours a week ago on 295 in jersey, had the tint and was gray luster, but didnt know what % it was. A side view would help more but appreciate it.
