Anyone else have issues with 2k2 sunglass holder?

I know this is a dumb problem considering all of the other tings but it really annoys me and I haven't heard anyone else complain about it so maybe I'm just pickier than most or I'm the only one with this problem. Basically - my sunglasses inside the 2002 sunglasses holder rattle around and every curve or bump and make tons more noise than they did in the cheaper looking 2000 sunglass holder. Anyone else experience this - or maybe nobody cares and I'm just being a big whiner.

Personally, I went the the Sunglass Hut and picked up a visor clip for mine. Those overhead holders on both the 2K/2K1 and the 2K2 are going to rattle and, potentially, scratch up sunglasses. I suppose it depends on how much you value your sunglasses (read: how much you spent on them), but I don't think those overhead things are too solid for glass care.

So, in my opinion, you're being a big whiner.

Odd. I put my sunglasses there and have heard of no rattle at all.

Then again my left instrument panel on the door rattles so loud that it may just be masking the sound from the sunglass holder

a good solution to that is go to a hobby shop, buy some servo vibration protectant foam stuff, cut it to the right shape, and put some double sided adhesive on it.. then line the inside fo the singlass hut with it.. make sure you don't apply too thick of a material so the sunglasses would no longer fit inside.. also another alternative would be using the soft fuzzy side of a velcro to line the inside..

Nice choice. I just bought a pair a couple months ago. My second pair of Revo's...the best sunglasses I've ever owned.

I have a 2K2 SE and have Bose stereo and when there is some bass in the music, there is some rattling sound, and when I take out the glasses out of the holder, it does not rattle anymore.

I lined mine with my sunglass cloth too. Don't want my Oakley A-frame's scratched from the cheap felt either...

My XX's don't fit in there so I think the design sucks no matter what. Means I have less space in my cupholder compartment.

I just put 3 pairs of glasses in there and they don't have room to slide around.

The fit on the INSIDE of the 2k2 sunglass holder is not as good as the 2k for sure, at least for my glasses. It all depends on the size and shape of your glasses, too.

If it bothers you enough, get the holder from the 2000. It WILL fit in the 2k2 as I just bought the 2k2 holder and stuck it in the 2000. I had to trim a little bit of headliner, but you won't see it even if you switch back, so you 2k2 guys should be fine putting the 2000 holder in.

wrap it up

I wrap anything of any value, including sunglasses, cameras, radar detector, etc, in soft/aged pieces of leather chamoise that i custom cut to fit the size of the article. No scratches anywhere
