I am going back and forth with a gentleman named Greg who emailed me and told me they will think about making these headlights for the 4th Gen Max.

Right now these lights are only available for the Chevy Silverado.

 

I'd like to have a different set of lights, and those look nice. Who knows maybe they'll actually make them.

 

I told him about Maxima.org so hopefully they'll check us out.

Well, they cost $899 for the Chevy trucks. Hopefully they'll be a little less for the Max but they will have to do a little extra for the high-beam hookup so that might drive the price up a bit. I'll keep talking with them to see what it might cost.

When HID replacement kits first came out they where just as much. I'll pay that much to be street legal. Can't pass inspection without highbeams anyway. Plus they look sweet!!!

It's amazing to me how many of you guys/gals are ranting about wanting these, when you haven't even seen what they can do.

 

They aren't even available yet, calm down. We won't have to worry about beam pattern because they will be made from scratch. It's not like we're taking the one's made for the Chevy's and just trying to make them fit.

 

 

If the beam pattern is right, I'll buy. It'll just take me a while to save for them.

It has nothing to do with scratch-built or not. A good beam pattern is matter of safety.

It has everything to do with building them from scratch and obviously you have never built anything from scratch to know this. Comprehendo, if they are making them from scratch, they will test and therefore make sure the pattern works.

Your agrument means nothing because you don't have proof that the beam pattern won't be correct. You're trying to compare what people have done here on the org to what a pro-company is going to do and is already doing fore Chevy trucks (built from scratch).
People here are having problems with the pattern because the HID kits they're using wasn't even made for the Max from the start. Nuff said.

People, don't get into the debate about beam pattern. If you want to make an argument about something, argue about all of these aftermarket bulbs reduce your visibility and how PIAA's melt your harnesses.

 

I thought you meant that because you are making them from scratch, you won't have to worry about a correct beam pattern...I missunderstood...my bad. The only reason I bring this up is, that I've seen some of the HID kits that have been "designed for the D2R or D2S bulbs", and quite frankly, they all have horrible beam patterns.

If you can make these with a SAE certifiable beam pattern...OE quality and function, shoot, I'll be one of the first on line to buy it. Ok?
