This is so sweeeet that the 09 MAX is getting so many MODS so fast, and not from any old garage made to sell on EBAY type of stuff either. These products are coming from a reputable company who strives on bringing great add on's to the table for our consumption............Man there is so much stuff to choose from......I don't know what to tell Santa to put under the tree!!!!!

Do they have any numbers on the Intake? ( i.e. HP gains ). Im not knocking Stillen at all here, but it seems a bit much for a cone filter with a pipe and a air duct. besides, you would think that by breaking the inclosed air intake system from the factory, you would not get much more air flow to the cone filter due to half the cone being at atmosphere. I would say that you could get the same if not better numbers with a K&N drop in filter and remove the first stage of the factory intake above radiator. I am interested to see how the HP gains go with this.

1st stillen has said they will not be dynoing this or their exhaust because of the CVT tranny. so don't hold your breath. also other then a few small things this is all you'll see in the form of 'performance' from stillen. no headers, no FI, no suspension/coilovers. at most maybe you'll gain 5hp from the intake somewhere along the curve...just look at a dyno from a 6th gen with just an air intake...it's not going to be far from that in terms of gains.

2nd they arn't know as stealing stillen for nothing. wait 6 months there will be 4 different strut bars to choose from on ebay going for 20-60 bucks each. same with the air intakes. It's cheaper, faster, and easier to just make your own home made intake and more satisfying if you ask me fwiw, and if you throw it in the fenderwell, better performing. $290 really is alot for that filter pipe and plastic. i'll make one for you for $100 bucks which looks better. you could use this stuff: http://intense-racing.com/Merchant2/...3800_Induction or just some painted PVC with an Apexi filter slapped on the end of it.

The price is no different than any other brand....how many kids plunk down $150-300 for some version of an AEM intake that makes 1-2whp on their Civic??

Still a little disconcerting that no baseline has been set by Stillen for comparision gains (or losses) regarding their products....At least it'll probably sound pretty nice w/an intake...

Generally, in Maximas I've seen that Intakes usually gain between 5-11HP and from my experience it is gained somewhere in the midrange but most suffer at low rpm.

It would be better for you if you're looking for HP to get a full CatbackExhaust system with Y-Pipe/B-Pipe set up to get the most of your car with an Intake, that is unless of course we (Maximas) end up getting Headers or maybe even an SC (But I doubt it very highly).
Good luck

SWEEEEEEEET! My plan always was to add both ends to the MAX...the Intake and exhaust! Since Santa was so nice this year about getting the full Catback system the front end "INTAKE" is on the way and will be ordered on the 15th using the extra Stillen bucks.......oh yeah!!!! When it's all said and done I can say that I drive a 300 HP MAX.....if your math was right adding about 10 horses to a 290 HP platform hit's that magic number!!!!
