Hey guys,

The other day my Maxima started to make a weird noise on take-off. Whenever I'd leave an intersection or anywhere else from a stop it would make a sound like I was driving on chunks of ice...not really a metallic clunking or grinding but just like a sharp clunk. It seems to be coming from the rear of the car.

I checked to see if anything was rubbing, like a mudflap or something, and everything looked fine. The car is not lowered, the tire pressures are good.

It's an 01, totally stock. It just seemed to randomly start happening about a week ago.

Any ideas?

 

take off the wheels and have a look see. maybe something got wrapped up in there.
make sure your suspension parts are tight.
Or maybe you were just driving over chunks of ice haha
