I have a 00/01 front-passenger seat bottom. It's frost cloth and has a plug for heated seat.
The seat is in great condition w/ no tears, stains, or imperfections.

6-disc HU from my 2002 Maxima BOSE system.
I took the unit out and replaced it w/ aftermarket because it had the infamous CD-skip/pause action going on. Seems to work better once it was warmed up and I only noticed it having troubles playing certain CD's of mine. There were no other problems with it.
This Could be used if someone wants the stock HU in their car for a trade-in; I won't include it installed when I sell my car b/c that would be dis-respectful, but I wouldn't think twice about letting a dealership have it due to the way they survive on ripping people off!

note: 2 of the 4 mounting screw heads on the R-side had to be drilled out b/c they are so damn tight. This Will still work fine w/ just the 2 mounting screws on that side.

So does the seat have a heater, or just the plug, will take it if it has the heater

 

If you look at the 3rd picture you can see the wiring disappear under the upholstery. I assume it's attached to the heating mechanism. I don't see the actual unit but it appears the upholstery would need to be removed to take that out. If the heater is external then it's not there.

So to answer your question: the heater is there assuming its not inside the seat.

will the head unit hook up to a 2000 max and still operate the 6 disc, cuz all I got is a single and the friggin tape thing ate a tape and won't give it back. Let me know. I call dibs if it fits and works the 6 disc
