Finally got to the track with the 3.5

Well my 1st run right off the highway I set the tire psi and opened the cutout and ran a 14.04@99.98 with a 2.19 60ft

And my my 1st nitrous pass I ran a 13.7@107.62 with a 2.45 60ft
2nd nitrous pass ran a 13.5@110.17 with a 2.36 60ft but getting better
3rd pass ran a 13.4@109.61 with a 2.13 60ft did a longer burnout think I am on the right track here

then my clutch started to slip so I called it a night gotta get to work but there's next year. All in all I had fun tonight and found out that I can not drive the 3.5 anything like the 3.0

Outstanding for a first-time out! Oh, what nitrous shot were you using? and tires?

Yes, the 3.5 is a torque beast compared to the 3.0. It's hard to believe that 500cc can make such a difference...

Thanks,

.46nitrous and .27fuel on 235/60/15 dr's at 15psi

I know a few things right off the bat that will help but I did not have time to try it. lower the tire psi, longer burnout, new rear shocks since mine are blown and adjust my parking brake cause the rear would not lockup during the burnout

the trap speed lets me know there is alot more left in the car so I'm happy a few more runs and I'll see 12's all day

btw cause I know someone will ask I was running in full trim

WOW...your using a 100 shot...I think?? Do you get any knocks? Did you retard your timing,1 or 2 range colder plugs, any race fuel while you were there? Sry for the many questions but on my vq35 I'm doing a 55 shot and going to go for a 75..(scared of blowing something..lol) But I ultimately want to get the 100 shot going that's why I'm asking of the things you did to set it up.

1step colder plugs side gapped, walbro 255 and a gallon of 103

I'll be running a .52nitrous jet or bigger next time out with the same setup, hopefully traction and a better 60 and 330ft

cool ! going to check out the videos !! nice runs !

Edit:

nice videos. you smell clutch bake ( rofl ! ) after any of those burnouts ? i dont know much, but my clutch was fried long before I even knew it. because the darn thing was slipping it caused irregular burnouts, sometimes she would smoke it up, and then other times nothing.

have a look and see what condition that clutch is in. you should be able to smoke out the crowd given that clutch isnt a weak link. then warm up the front rubber and you should light up the scoreboard ! lol !

that was a hard fought run aye but good enough to lay down a 13.4, sounded like somewhere in 3rd she bogged down a bit, lol !

good on ya !! was a joy to watch !
