I used to work for the shop that I sent my car to so I am trying to help them help me. It would seem that all the diagrams they have are for the US version of the car instead of the japanese? They couuldnt get the doors to lock and unlock while being connected in the same position? Does that even make sense for my 2002 5.5 6spd? I apologize if this is overly easy but they were telling me the wiring is different in the doors. I was just hoping maybe someone had some documentation from a personal install handy. Thanks for any help or let it die. I;m not going to let them leave the remote in without the door locks locking and unlocking.

i suggest posting this in the audio/electronics section of the forum or having a mod move it for you(which would probably be best find one online now).

do you have a non US spec 5th gen? i'm surprised one the shop can't figure it out, and two that they(nissan) would do it differently but then again you never know. i'd post a link to an FSM but that is not really allowed on these forums. as i said a google should find it for you and it should have the wiring diag you're looking for unless i'm mistaken...

edit: it should be pretty easy for the shop to figure out how to open/close the locks with a lil trial and error fwiw...

are you sure they are using the 5.5 gen electrical schematics and not the 5th gen schematics, those are different. Also, you should be able to figure it out with a tester fairly easy if you won't be able to get ahold of the schematics.

Why do you think that? Never seen anything to indicate IB gives a crap about what we do, much less posting links to FSMs.

I installed a Viper 5900 in my 02 and had the same issue with locking/unlocking. I had lock but no unlock or vice versa (cant remember). You need to change the pulse length of the lock or unlock signal. Should be in the alarm manual. Let me know if thats what you needed. Like others have said, the wiring should be the same, no?

no street racing threads
no nws material(******* now who doesn't like those?)
no links to torrent or other files to illegally dl
no crazy swearing

i can go on...

i just assumed posting a link to where you can DL a FSM that should cost a great deal of money would be frowned upon.

I dont know if this will help, but remember that the 5.5 gen has the pulse delay on the locks... I had that problem with my 2-way viper till I remembered that little detail.

You speak as if all torrents are illegal...

But FSM links have never been a problem here, and I really don't see them making a fuss over it. Actually the mods have made stickies in a few forums with such links.

i believe it is a pulse delay issue. i have talked to a guy who used to do these professionally, my car is a dual pulse to lock unlock. Im sure the bull dog they were trying was not configured properly. I am going to go with an AutoPage instead. Difference is $50 and he knows what hes talking about, so I think its worth it. The shop that attempted my car now no longer does remote starts because of me whoops
