NeoWedge led's in climate control?

Hey guys,

http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/NEO.htm

I just found these and was wondering if they are an option for replacing the climate control bulbs. They seem to be the style we need, but has anyone tried them? This seems like an easier (probably not brighter) way to get a colored climate control without doing all the wiring with regular led bulbs.

And are the bulbs the same for manual and auto climate controls?

$1.29/bulb? there's 4 (iirc) in the auto climate control. radioshack has similar bulbs to oem cheaper and they work great with testors paint if you want them colored. if you need the part number i'll find it later and let you know.

EDIT: here - http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...&tab=techSpecs

I don't want to paint any lights. It would end up fading in the long-run.

Bump...

That's what I was afraid of, not working for the manual climate control. I'll have to pull it apart and see what bulbs are in there.

it would work for a couple of the bulbs but there are 2 (iirc) that are on extended bases.
