Black / Clear tail lights pics

so had some time today to change the look of the car a lil. getting tired of seeing all these other white maxima around like mines so this should make it stand out a lil more what you think.

this is with the lights on

EDIT: you just ruined the nice pair of SE lights. personally you should have just left it alone.

Those stock taillights are sooo sexy!!! Why would you do such a thing!

LOL, but, it's your car. If you like it, than that's all that matters.

BTW, is it a removable mod? I see similar ones all the time on ebay, kind of like a tint that goes over the light?

Good stuff on trying to be different, but I love stock SE tails. If your going to keep them that way I suggest going with clear side-markers instead of those black ones. Please don't get Flea gay Halo headlights...

BTW HOLLY GAP BATMAN !! Get some wheel spacers for your rear rims.

HIDs in the Non projector headlights will give you even worse output then the projectors. I did the 02/03 retro for $200, took me about 2 months of searching but I did it.

So you planning to get the Ebay reflector headlights like these?

If you do prepare for bad HID glare. Stay with 5.5 headlights, unless your going to make the Ebay reflector lights into projector headlights.

yea just picked it up 3 weeks ago. already had the 92 with the tails tinted, and tinted my 98's tails, so doing the free to me mods first added my subs from the 98 in the trunk wired to the stock bose for now. and did this. getting the tint done, and getting head lights in the next few weeks. then once i get my new screen i will put my polk components speakers in the doors and going to build a sub floor box in the trunk ( got the car and had nothing in it no carpet, no spare, no floor.) then so on...................

You will find a lot of people willing to trade with you Clear tails for SE tails on the 5th gen classifieds. I think the clears look best on the Titanium Maxima.

You can find TSX Projectors sometimes for $100+ on the FS section. You can get 02-03 headlights with ballast and bulbs for a really good deal. Even if they don't come with ballast and bulbs you can at least get a good deal in the group deal section in the FS section.

And yeah the SE black tailights are ok how they are even though I pefer the Black/all clear look. Had to remove the casing and paint it black to get it to blend in with the rest of the car

This guy bought the cheapo ebay projector headlights, and replaced the projectors with good ones:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/578450

He used MDX projectors, but you could also use TSX projectors or FX35 projectors or E46 projectors, there's dozens of different kinds.
