Has anyone bought carbonfiber hood recently?

If so where, I am having trouble finding one, i really don't wanta carbonefx one but they are the only place i can find that can make one.

i would like to buy f a store not off ebay that way i know if i have a problem then it wont be a hassel to send it back

There are tons upon tons of companies. You quite obiously didn't look.

Don't buy from CarbonFX, I made the mistake and I've had nothing but problems. Dish out the cash and get a ViS that's clearcoated.

vis hoods on backorder I have googled and calledmany companys they are on back order or don't have any. i guess i will have to do the ebay route

I seriously would hold off for the VIS hood. The ebay hoods are garbage. Ive spoken to those sellers listed and wasnt really impressed with there hoods. They sent me some additonal pictures and they were just like all the other cheap CF hoods. Super then and flimsy with no backing, just the FG skeleton. The VIS is sealed underneath and much more sturdy.
But whatever you decide, do opt to have it shot with clear. Ive been through three hoods already. My last hood, a VIS I had it sprayed with three layers of clear for good measure.

i found a place that had a vis hood ebay, clearing the hood just wet sand with 1000grit sand paper and clear it?

As far as I know, the shop took the brand new hood and just sprayed it. I had it sent straight to them.
