When you say 3rd-Gen, are you referring to the VGs *AND* the VEs?

I'll set some money aside if it's for the VG.

Yes this will work for the following Nissan Maxima applications:
  • VG30E (1989-1994)
  • VE30DE (1992-1994)
  • VQ30DE (1995-1999)

May also work with other Nissan Applications (please advise if you are aware of any). Z32, etc...

Now for my comments.

WOW. It looks great and this is definitely a sturdy piece. WAY better than the adapter I got from EBay which flaked on the corners so I couldn't screw it to the MAF anymore.

As for the filter, I was surprised it was AMSOIL (I didn't read the post where he mentioned that). I thought it was going to be some cheap no name ebay filter but was pleasantly surprised. I use AMSOIL ATF and motor oil so I am a big supporter of AMSOIL and think anything with there name on it is worth it.
Great Comments Ilyak! I hope that others will appreciate this piece as much as you do.

Pretty good product here guys - I just installed mine a few days ago, and I am very happy that I no longer have to worry about my POS stock plastic adapter breaking on me.

Quick Q. Looks great and am definitely getting one. Will this help with HP at all? I'm assuming this will allow me to get rib of that HUGE black box of nothingness currently in my 95.

And also whats the purpose of the prefilter.. thanks and i''m dropping my order today

Surely by eliminating your stock box you will pick up HP and TQ.

The Nylon pre-filters will keep any large particulate matter away from the main filter, which will keep it running at peak for a longer period of time.

The Nylon also sheds water away, so less vapor gets through the motor on wet days.
